Cherry Picking

bloody 'ell. Clean forgot what I've been up to. The other day someone said "what day is it?", like you do when you're doing something. I heard them and tried to think what day it was and I honestly couldn't. Worked a lot of days recently with no break and wasn't sure if it was Friday or monday. Turned out to be Thursday and I still had more work to do. Not complaining though 'cos I love it. My back doesn't but hey.

Munched some very posh canapes at one of Gordon Ramsays caterers on the thursday in question. Oh what a tough job it must be to be a taster. I wouldn't know as we were in the kitchen shooting the food!

Friday was hanging around 45m up shooting views from the soon to be built flats at Chelsea Barracks. The sign inside the gate said "Terror threat - Substantial" which is worrying. Judging by the cars in the place, a lot of the lads there like nothing better than a few pints of wife beater and a good fight down the local Wetherspoons. Who better to wave guns at people in foreign lands? Haven't seen a mint Nova for ages!

Feras bike is nearly fixed. Will be swiftly uploaded to Fixed gear gallery as soon as.

That's about it.

Send me a hello if you like the photo on the home-page and drink lots of water. It's good for you.

All the best.

Oh gosh - very sorry. How could I forget!?

Check out Fred (The Band) and The Beautiful Word. Two acts we saw at the Troubadour on saturday night. Very very cool. Almost as cool as (get this) meeting John Lithgow on the tube! Oh yeah - the real John Lithgow. Told him Cliffhanger was the best film ever and shook his hand. Then we saw him on the escalator and I said, actually, it wasn't the best film ever but I still enjoyed it. He's over doing 12th Night for the RSC and is very tall. WOW. I've lived. Cant say family Baybutt were too impressed at being woken up at midnight to be told the story but there you go - can't please all the people all the time.

Goodnight and sleep tight.

Stacker!

New section in the old portfolio for new work. Keeping things current and f-f-fresh. How's you? All fine here. Taking my saturday on tuesday. What? 7 day weeks are in. Wondered today why I didn't have as much new stuff to show you as I though and then realised it was because I've been so busy. BUT it means I can afford to go away in September and come back with a G4 full of portfolio worthy biz. Or maybe just some super tan marks!

Props to Lewis McAll who managed over 200 miles on his bicycle trying to keeping up with his superhuman brother. Ben is blazing a 7 day trail to Lands end so if he comes flying through your town wave to him.

I (hand on heart) PROMISE to shoot some more stuff this week so beware Fera if you're reading this.

Speak soon y'all. Hope all's good.

Has he gone?

Long weekends rock. Had a great time up in Shrewsbury with family Pugh and a gutless 207 (just say no to revvy euro cars unless they're Italian). Saw the old farm Venus grew up on and had a yummy gammon steak. Nice day out. Danced a ceilidh and ate tons of meat.
Sunday was the BBQ pool party at Hibberd HQ. (Just say no to tags!) The box brownie was put through it's paces by a Jager induced operator and we made some funny looking shots...
Met Frank Skinner on Tuesday - he's very funny and if you're up at the Edinburgh fringe go check him out as he's getting back into stand up. Next time you see me ask about the blind heckler he told us about. made me laugh lots. Also, he has the same red G-Shock watch as me (of course he doesn't wear it, he just told me) but his has "Euro '98" printed on it. Haha
Am about half way through an 8 day week so am going to love you and leave you.
Keep checking back in, I promise to shoot lots more and stick it up ere as often as poss.
Big love.

Pinch Punch

Bloomin eck - August already. Honestly, where does the time go? This is my first day off with not too much to do for over a month. After Italy I went on shoots with eco warriors in the woods, visited Kedleston hall in Derbyshire, learnt that Elizabeth Zeschin won't tolerate Hip Hop at all, saw the 4th largest textile archive in the world, worked in a office all week and then nailed myself with two and a half pints on the friday pub visit. I've suffered Reading shopping centre at school holiday time, lifted stereo equipment till my back disintegrated, laughed at £10,000 per meter speaker cable (seriously), met Brian Eno at his Notting Hill studio and had a horribly eventful cycle home after a shoot near Seamus' gallery. Blimey.

Oh yeah, I got ripped off on ebay, saw the BP Portrait awards (not so good as years past but some really great stuff non the less - go see), came 2nd at the Joelstag go-kart race (first loser baby!), didn't get nail bombed at Tiger Tiger which is a relief and bought Fera a bicycle of her own. Just this morning painted it blue and now I'm trying to find bits for it without spending a small fortune. Love building bikes I do.

Went out with Andy Day (great parkour photographer) for a photo session. Photos up here later today. Thanks to everyone who helped me out.

Can't think of much else so I'm going to leave you and get to the bike shop then read Harry Potter. Hard life egh.

Hope everyone who was flooded is now dry and everyone who has been knocked off their bicycles or motorbikes is feeling better.
