cigar tips

tinker tinker tinker. My fingernails haven't been clean for ages now. No amount of scrubbing will work. Sign on manlyness anyway - or Fred Dibnah 'ness. Either is cool.

Anyway. How are things? It's all a bit wet here. Moto news - My new mudguard (which is a front, modified for the back) doesn't keep spray off me as well as I'd hope. In fact it's crap. But it looks soooo good. Last Friday I managed to fit a rack, indicators, mudguard and almost finish off the new seat. Got fresh tyres on and all the lights work properly. Sent the seat to the upholsters and fitted the new speedo. It reads up to 140mph! hahahaha Honestly, the needle wont even make it past 10 o'clock! This is all so much more fun than buying a Ducati and having nothing to fettle with. Cheaper too. Got to fill the badge holes in the new tank and rub it down. Same with the mudguards and side panels then it's off to paint. British racing green. So excited. Need to get on the road cycle but the weather is so bad at the mo just leaving the house is a task. I read on some government cycling campaign that the average British commuter cyclist only gets wet (and I quote) "12 times a year". I'm not sure what tea the people who write this are drinking but I'd like some... Ride to work every day and you'd have got wet 12 times already this month - and it's only the 11th!

Don't tell Fera but I'm supposed to be packing rather than fettling the bike. We move on sat and we're unbelievably giddy. Box city at 101 but very worth it. Good opportunity for a clear out (I keep a lot of rubbish.)

This is a bit of a 'non' post, I just wanted to say how nicely the bike is coming along! Deptford choppers are so helpful it's ridiculous. If you are ever in need of a small cc bike (or any old bike for that matter), preferably a honda and want to chop it about then see these guys. They rule. What Matt doesn't know about valve spacings isn't worth knowing!

If you're in the Peckham area between now and saturday, head over to Area 10 for art and more art. Al has got this First Person Theatre thing on overdrive. collision & first person

Speak soon. New place sooner so you can come over for tea and everything.

Big news - Al is your master. Well done. Worth the stress. Just.

Other big news - we're leaving Team Catford HQ for the leafy groves of East Dulwich. Can't wait. New house - I get a whole office and we have a kitchen you can swing a kitten in. YES!

I wrote all this down and then my computer froze so I'll cut to the chase - went to Birmingham to see a Crystal Castles gig and so Tom Oxley (the young version) could shoot them for NME. Long story short, the guy decided to cut "CC" into his chest. Not with a some glass or even my stanly but some sterile blades from Boots. WTF? If it's weth doin it's weth doin reight. Cutting "4 REAL" with a broken bottle into your arm in front of Steve Lamaq is pretty heavy. Or punching yourself in the face and spitting blood all over the front row during a gig is pretty punk also. This was just crap self harming. "Is this shocking for you?"....."Not really mate. I've seen more blood falling off my bike. But you go right ahead" Didn't get it at all. I would say 'kids egh' in a grumpy old man stylee but he was way older than me! haha

More excitingly I spent all last Friday tinkering with my bike at Deptford Choppers. Bacon sarnies on the George Fornby grill, good advice and black hands. I haven't quite achieved Zen but the motorcycle maintenance is coming along nicely. And it passed its MOT yesterday. Boom!

Off there now so gonna love you and leave you. Hope everyone is well. Hope the weather picks up. And I hope my new seat is easy to fit!
